Felicia is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary's University and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in Family Social Science, from the University of Minnesota.  She is a Board Approved Supervisor through the Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy and the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy.  She provides supervision to Pre-Licensed Clinicians seeking licensure as a MFT, LPC and LPCC.


Felicia believes that each person is unique and strives to cater her therapeutic approach to best fit the needs of each client. She believes that the relationship between therapist and client is the catalyst to change and finds it essential that each client feels validated. With the support of a therapist, clients may discover new insights and make changes to reach their goals. She tries to balance acceptance and change in therapy, encouraging growth through validation.


Felicia has worked in the mental health field for the past 9 years. She has spent time in a variety of settings, including working with families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders in the home, school, and community environments, working with adults and adolescents experiencing psychiatric crises in the Emergency Department and Inpatient Units of a hospital, and working with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couple, and family therapy in outpatient clinic settings.


Felicia is intensively trained in EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis. She also uses Cognitive, Existential, Behavioral, Experiential, Exposure Therapy and Solution-Focused approaches. She has a passion for trauma-related work and couples' therapy.  Felicia is a Gottman Level I Trained Clinician and is also EAGALA Certified.  She also provides Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, collaboratively working with Equine Specialists, clients and horses at the Taylors Falls location.

Maggie Wilkinson, MA,   MHP

Maggie obtained her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel University.  She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Communication and Film from Bethel University, where she began her journey in wanting to share in the stories of others.  After working in the film and music industries, Maggie shifted her career focus to working with young people through a high school mentoring program with AmeriCorps.  From that experience, she decided she wanted to commit herself to working with children, teens, and their parents, strengthening family relationships and helping them move toward their goals.  She is currently working toward her full licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy, working under the supervision of Felicia O’Brien at Theraplace.


Maggie believes the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of therapy.  It is through building this positive relationship with her clients that she believes change and healing can happen.  Her approach is strengths-based and her interests include helping individuals and families that might be experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, behavior issues, grief, relational issues (such as parent/child, family, or couples), and issues related to spirituality.

Kara is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  She received her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Service Management from the University of Phoenix.

Kara has worked in the mental health field for several years.  The majority of that time has been in private practice, focused on giving clients a safe place to explore life's challenges.  Kara's additional experience includes in-home services with families, day treatment at an autism therapy center and stabilization at a crisis residence.

Kara's main areas of interest include working with adolescents, adults, couples and families who are struggling with anxiety, depression and grief/loss.  Kara is a certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator.  P/E is the leading assessment for premarital counseling or marital enhancement.

Paul Reps, MA, LAMFT

Paul is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist.  He received his Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University.  He also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from Columbia College of Chicago.  He is completing his post-graduate work through Theraplace.  He brings an enthusiasm that is informed by finding his professional calling after working in other (less satisfying) fields for the first decade of his adult life.

Paul has experience working in the mental health field providing therapy and mental health coping skills coaching.  He enjoys working with clients whom feel out of place in the world.  Paul is particularly interested in working with people who suffer from symptoms of anxiety and depression.


Paul works with individuals, married couples, non-traditional couples, and other relationship systems (polyamorous, non-romantic, asexual relationships, and more). His philosophy of therapy aligns with his belief that everyone is at their happiest and healthiest when they are able to find the courage to express how they feel and to be their truest self.

Debbie Johnson, MA, LADC,  MHP

Observing the prevalence of addiction in our society, Debbie chose to earn a Master of Arts in Addiction Counseling through the Hazelden-Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies.  She completed additional coursework through the Adler Graduate School in Richfield, MN.  Debbie did her undergraduate work at Bemidji State University earning a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology: Human Services.  She is completing post graduate requirements in order to obtain LPCC licensure. Debbie is a Mental Health Practitioner under the supervision of Felicia O’Brien at Theraplace.

Debbie worked as an advocate for victims of sexual violence for 2.5 years and then worked with the SPMI populations in a private, outpatient clinic for 10.5 years as an adult mental health case manager.  Debbie works with adults and issues related to depression, anxiety, co-occurring disorders, grief, loss and trauma.  She also has a special interest in working with seniors and matters related to end-of-life issues.  


Debbie is trained in EMDR.  She believes that clients are the experts of their own lives and that all clients have strengths from which to draw in order to meet their life’s goals.  Coming from a person-centered, strengths-based, solution-focused, and Adlerian approach, Debbie aligns herself alongside her clients and is willing to embark on the therapeutic journey with them.

Selena received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  She is completing her post-graduate work through Theraplace.

Selena has experience working with children, families and adults in schools, clinics and in-home settings.  She is certified as a Circle of Security parent educator, which teaches families about attachment and its impact on relationships and enhances skills in bonding.  Selena works from a strengths-based approach to help individuals and families realize they are more than their diagnosis.  Her interests include working with people suffering from depression, anxiety, behavior and learning issues, trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, self-esteem issues and parenting issues.

Kelly Hemmer, APRN-NP

Kelly is an Adult Nurse Practitioner studying to earn a Post-Master's Certificate in Psychiatry and Mental Health.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bethel University and Master of Science in Nursing from Metropolitan State University.  She has worked as a nurse practitioner in acute care, palliative care and outpatient geriatric primary care.  Through her work as a nurse practitioner, she became aware of the shortage of medical providers specializing in psychiatry/mental health, particularly in rural areas.  This led her to pursue certification in this area.  Kelly is particularly interested in the connections between mental and physical health.

Kelly is completing a clinical internship through Theraplace.  She is a practicing Nurse Practitioner, however the focus of her internship is therapy.  She is joining clinicians and clients in sessions, in order to observe and learn from clinicians and provide co-therapy to clients.  She brings years of knowledge and experience to the clinical team and to the therapeutic process.  

Kelly will not be monitoring or prescribing medication for clients during her internship.  She is excited to collaborate with clinicians and assist clients in their therapeutic process.

Deb Hall, MSW, LGSW

Deb obtained her Master's degree in Social Work from College of St. Scholastica and her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from College of St. Scholastica.  She is completing requirements in order to become fully licensed and is supervised on-site by Felicia.  She has extensive history working with horses and is able to combine her passion for helping people with horses through Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy.  Deb is completing certification for Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy through EAGALA as both an ES and MH and is the primary caregiver to our 4-legged teammates.

Deb has experience working with children, adolescents and adults in Supervised Visitation, Child Protection, Foster Care, Adoption, Case Management, School-Linked and Day Treatment programs.  She has worked in agency, office, in-home, group, and school settings.  Deb's ability to collaborate with all participating members of a client's treatment team positively benefits clients and aids in obtaining necessary resources within the community.  She is skilled in building trusting relationships with clients, which enables clients to make progress toward their goals in a safe and supportive environment.
